Four Days in Seoul: Day 1

pad thai!!!
so young :)
hannah #2
i'm not sure what that face is for.
salad! eating salad in korea is not as typical as it is in america. i love salads.
this is the mysterious rice omelet. unusual.

I went to Seoul for church with Hannah (#2). We went to "Sarang" or "Love Church" which is where I've been once before. It's a massive church and they have an english service.
We were going to the 2pm service, and first ate lunch an oddly named restaurant, "Omuta Tomato", which specializes in some sort of omelet wrapped rice dish. decent, not to-die-for. and we got a salad.
then, we met my friend So Young, who also goes to this church and, we all went to the service together.
after church, hannah left us and So Young and i set off for some adventures. first stop was coffee, getting $5 lattes. $5 lattes are, let me remind you, the norm here in seoul. coffee is just expensive. yet, i watch as the locals hand over that money without flinching. it simply doesn't not seem to bother them. and koreans love their coffee.
after coffee, we took a taxi to the nearby Apgujeong neighbor which is the notoriously wealthy area of seoul. and, by the way, in the 5 block radius of this area, So Young and I count 10 mini coopers. disgusting.
we wandered around a bit, looking at unaffordable shoes and bags and then, we went to fabulous asian fusion restaurant. it was fabulous in decor and fabulous in taste. we ordered Pad Thai and a shrimp roll.
eventually, we left Apgujeong, wandered to Namdaemun and then, we parted ways. me, off to Hanna (#3)'s apartment where i would be staying this week.
