Four Days in Seoul: Day 4 (Wednesday)

Wednesday: the day of dkuk-buk-kee.
first, hanna and i went to nearby university area where, supposedly, the best dkuk-buk-kee in seoul is sold. so, i had to have it.

here's hanna at "the best dkuk-buk-kee in seoul" restaurant. a tiny eatery about the size of a walk in closet. and, it was good. but, dkuk-buk-kee is always good. so, was it the best? i'm not sure yet. :)

then, we went to a little intriguing cafe that i had seen before. good coffee but uh...this espresso was about $5. ugh. after the cafe, i headed to Ewha Woman's University to meet up with a friend, abigail, that i met a few months back. we grabbed a quick coffee and then i was off to my next adventure.

Dkuk-buk-kee!!!!! So Young said she would teach me how to make dkuk-buk-kee so, i met her as she was finishing work and we went together to her home in west seoul. here is the step by step process of making it. :)
the basic ingredients are broth, soy sauce, red chili paste, ricecakes, green onions, fish cakes, sesame seeds. pretty simple, eh?

after dinner (we ordered some delicious fried chicken to go with it too) we went to a nearby accessories store that so young loves. then, we went to a cake cafe, ordered 2 slices of the pumpkin cake, went back to so young's apartment and ate it. along with drinking coffee out of an adorable cow mug. :)

and then, i rushed back to the train station, and headed back to good ol' (boring) Yangpyeong.
the end.
