town market days

One would think, since i've been here over 6 months, that i would have had a chance to experience the town market by now. i mean, considering that the market falls on every calender date with a 3 or an 8. so, basically ever 5 days for the 200 days, the market has been going on only minutes from where i live and even closer to where i work.
but, seeing as i am actually a slave to this school, and i have less freedom than most jr. highers, i hadn't found a chance to go up until last week. and, of course, with the weather warming up, it made going to a outdoor market a bit more appealing.

all the streets in the town center are filled with vendors selling anything from clothing to raw fish to mysterious dried things to shoes. (for lancaster county people: it resembled an asian Green Dragon market). the town transforms itself into a market every five days. it really is incredible.

it had become this goal of mine: must make it to the market, must make it to the market. but, because it fell on a different day of the week every week and because it is just plain challenging to get to town any time, it took me 6 months to see it.

and it really was worth the wait.
